As vice president of Brand Resources Group (BRG), McDaniel provides senior leadership and direction across multiple agency account teams. Working closely with agency CEO, McDaniel drives integration and measurement of quality assurance and client service standards at every level of the organization. In addition, he plays a vital role in providing strategic communications counsel to clients within the business to business and consumer sectors.
Spanning his eighteen-year career in public relations, McDaniel has cultivated expertise in media relations, public education and awareness, and executive visibility and positioning, with great depth of experience in the safety, health and wellness sectors. He has guided strategy for award-winning, national communications campaigns on issues ranging from home and food safety to workplace violence, heart health, stroke prevention and diabetes.
Recent client engagements include Medtronic, Walmart Foundation, AOL Corporation, NCR, Home Safety Council, Wyeth Pharmaceutical, American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, Georgia Pacific.
Prior to joining BRG, McDaniel spent the majority of his career in the Atlanta office of a top 10 global firm. As he rose through the ranks, McDaniel was quickly recognized as a valuable media relations counselor to all primary practice areas – consumer brand, healthcare, business to business and technology. Major clients included Simmons Company (maker of the Beautyrest mattress), Delta Airlines, Orkin Pest Control, Cox Communications, and many others.
He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America – National Capital Chapter and American Society of Association Executives.
